Today marks Treanova's official launch, and I find myself thinking deeply about security, privacy, and the fundamental challenge we face: earning your trust.
Let's be honest – giving access to bank statements, invoices, and other corporate documentation is uncomfortable for companies of any size. The thought of providing direct access to manage bank accounts, especially with the ability to execute payments, sounds like an enormous risk. I get it. I would feel the same way.
The Features Don't Matter Without Trust
I have countless ideas about functionality that excites me as a founder. Compliance-first architecture that analyzes counterparties and supporting documentation to prevent cross-border payments from getting stuck. Flexible role-based access where owners and investors can sign transactions that fall outside of budgets or standard business payments. AI-powered conversations with your bank statements to model risks based on potential tariffs and other geopolitical events.
But here's the truth: none of that matters if we can't earn your trust.
Building Trust Through Transparency
By law, access to bank accounts is available only to regulated entities. That's why any access to your bank account through Treanova happens via our licensed, authorized providers. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel here – we're building on established, regulated infrastructure.
From day one, we've made a conscious decision: we're not building a fintech that holds your funds. I've seen how many people still don't trust online banks, even reputable giants like Revolut. If established players struggle with trust, a small fintech has no chance of convincing businesses to hold funds with us – unless you're de-banked, which presents risks we're not comfortable taking on.
Our Commitment to Security
Full disclosure about what data we access is just the beginning. We're implementing:
- The ability to delete your data at any time, no questions asked
- Industry-standard encryption for all sensitive information
- Clear limits on transaction amounts that can be executed
- Complete audit trails for every action taken
These aren't just features – they're fundamental to how we operate. But I know technical measures alone won't be enough.
The Human Element of Trust
I believe our physical presence in Europe and personal contact with our team members will be crucial in building our reputation. There's something powerful about knowing the people behind the platform, being able to meet face-to-face, and having real humans accountable for your financial operations.
We're not hiding behind anonymous corporate structures or distant call centers. We're here, we're real, and we're personally invested in earning and maintaining your trust.
The Journey Ahead
We will fight for your trust. I know it's a long road to earn it, and we're prepared for that journey. Every decision we make, every feature we build, and every interaction we have will be guided by one question: does this help us earn and keep the trust of the businesses we serve?
Today's launch isn't the end of our journey – it's just the beginning. We're committed to transparency, security, and most importantly, to being worthy of the responsibility you'll eventually place in us.
Thank you for considering Treanova. We won't take that consideration lightly.
